A historic Catholic relic identified as Saint Patrick of Ireland, the beloved missionary bishop traditionally associated with bringing Christianity to Ireland. This devotional object is accompanied by an ecclesiastical certificate dated 19 May 1919, issued in Jerusalem under the name of Philippe Maria Camassei, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.

The handwritten Latin inscription identifies the relic as Ex ossibus Sancti Patricii Hiberniae, Episcopi et Confessoris — “from the bones of Saint Patrick of Ireland, Bishop and Confessor.”

The certificate records that the relic was reverently placed in a small reliquary, closed and sealed for the veneration of the faithful. The reliquary features an ornate star-shaped metal frame, a glass viewing window, red and gold-toned interior detailing, and a label identifying Saint Patrick.

Saint Patrick is one of Ireland’s most celebrated patron saints. His missionary work and enduring legacy have made him an important figure in Irish Christian history and Catholic devotion. This piece brings together a devotional relic, an early twentieth-century ecclesiastical document, and a traditional reliquary.
