The medal features a detailed relief portrait of the saint on the front, with religious imagery and Latin inscriptions on the reverse. Its aged bronze-gold patina, softly worn surface and traditional devotional design give it the character of an authentic vintage devotional object.

Saint Charles Borromeo was Archbishop of Milan and is remembered for his dedication to the reform of the Church, care for the poor and his heroic service during the plague in Milan.
