Saint Benedict Medal – Benedictine Cross, PAX & Protective Latin Inscription

A beautiful vintage Catholic medal dedicated to Saint Benedict of Nursia, featuring the traditional Benedictine Cross and powerful Latin inscriptions associated with the saint's spiritual protection.

One side depicts Saint Benedict, holding the Holy Cross and the Rule, surrounded by traditional Benedictine symbolism including the poisoned cup and raven.

The reverse features the celebrated Cross of Saint Benedict, with the inscription PAX (“Peace”) and the sacred initials C.S.S.M.L. – N.D.S.M.D.

These letters represent the traditional Benedictine prayer:

Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux — “May the Holy Cross be my light.”

Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux — “May the dragon not be my guide.”

Around the medal are further Latin abbreviations from the traditional Benedictine prayer against evil.
