Rare Vintage Relic Card of Blessed Anna of Saint Bartholomew

A beautiful and historically significant Catholic devotional relic card dedicated to Blessed Anna of Saint Bartholomew (1549–1626), the Spanish Discalced Carmelite nun and close companion of Saint Teresa of Ávila.

The front features a richly colored devotional image of Blessed Anna holding a crucifix, surrounded by an intricate Art Deco-inspired ecclesiastical design. The card bears the traditional inscription “EX LINTEIS”, indicating a relic associated with her linens or clothing.

The reverse contains an original historical inscription identifying the relic:

“Reliquia huic imagini affixa
E LINTEIS
B. ANNAE A S. BARTHOLOMAEO”

The reverse is dated Luythaegen, 15 November 1934, and bears a handwritten authorization associated with the Carmelite order, together with an ecclesiastical seal.

Blessed Anna of Saint Bartholomew was a Spanish Carmelite and companion of Saint Teresa of Ávila. She later established the Carmelite presence in Antwerp and became particularly associated with the spiritual protection of the city. She was beatified by Pope Benedict XV in 1917.

Historical museum documentation also records devotional cards of Blessed Anna bearing the “EX LINTEIS” designation and a small relic fragment attached to the image.
