Original Catholic scapular composed of two wool panels connected by the original white ribbon.
One panel depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus, shown above a decorative devotional motif. The opposite panel features a traditional Catholic scene of the Virgin and Child appearing to a kneeling Carmelite saint, a common image associated with Marian and Carmelite devotion.
The scapular is finely finished with attractive green hand stitching around the borders and retains its original connecting ribbon.
