A rare antique Catholic contact relic associated with Saint Peter Julian Eymard, founder of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament.

This small devotional relic contains a textile fragment identified by its original label as having been touched to the bones of the Blessed Peter Julian Eymard.

The original Dutch inscription reads:

“Zalige Petrus Jul. Eijmard — bid voor ons”
Blessed Peter Julian Eymard — pray for us.

The accompanying label states:

“STOF AANGERAAKT AAN HET GEBEENTE VAN DEN ZALIGE”
Fabric touched to the bones of the Blessed.

Peter Julian Eymard (1811–1868) was a French Catholic priest and founder of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, dedicated to Eucharistic devotion. He was canonized by Pope John XXIII in 1962.
