Antique Beauraing Apparition Relic | Aubépine des Apparitions | 1932–1933

A rare antique Catholic devotional souvenir associated with the Marian apparitions of Beauraing, Belgium.

This charming miniature presentation bears the original French inscription:

“BEAURAING
Pensionnat de la Doctrine Chrétienne
Aubépine des Apparitions
29 Novembre 1932 – 3 Janvier 1933”

The inscription refers to the Aubépine des Apparitions — the Hawthorn of the Apparitions, associated with the site where the Virgin Mary was reported to have appeared during the winter of 1932–1933.

The apparitions took place in the garden of the Pensionnat de la Doctrine Chrétienne. The hawthorn beneath which the apparitions were reported became an enduring symbol of the Beauraing pilgrimage site.

This small original folding presentation retains its delicate blue printed border and natural signs of age. Its compact format reflects the devotional souvenirs traditionally distributed to pilgrims visiting Beauraing.
