It was approved by Blessed Pope Pius IX in 1863 and again in 1870. Unlike other scapulars, it is not the badge of a confraternity and requires no formal investiture: it may be worn, carried, or quietly placed among the belongings of a loved one, with the prayer above recited daily. It has long been treasured as a devotion for conversion and for a holy death.

Details

Type: Green Scapular (Catholic sacramental), single-panel card

Language: German

Size: approx. 3.8 × 4.9 cm (1.5 × 1.9 in)

Period: vintage, second half of the 20th century

Condition: very good, preserved in its original sealed plastic sleeve; light handling marks to the sleeve

Please note: this is a devotional sacramental, not a relic.
